How They Got Here: At-Large Bid
There wasn't going to any sweating on Selection Sunday, or any debate as to why the Eagles didn't make the Dance. Boston College, one of two division winners snubbed last year, took any question of its NCAA worth out of the committee's mind with six straight wins to end the regular season. An upset of Syracuse in the Big East quarterfinals, and impressive showing against Pittsburgh in the semis didn't hurt either. BC could also point to wins at Providence and Seton Hall, as well as one over NC State.

PLAYER TO WATCH
Craig Smith | F | Sophomore
No hops. Limited height. No problem for Boston College forward Craig Smith, who averages over 17 points a game on better than 50 percent shooting. Smith's positioning, footwork and frame allow him to dominate on the glass. He dropped 22 on Syracuse and 20 on Pitt in the Big East tourney.
