Famous Last Words
Liberty is just too sloppy and undersized to hang with the caliber of competition it's about to face away from the friendly confines of the Vines Center.

TO THIS POINT Big South champions How They Got Here: The Flames make their second all-time NCAA tourney appearance on, well, fire. Winners of 15 of 19, Liberty swept through the Big South tourney, crushing High South by a tournament record 45 points in the final. But there's a catch. Prior to Big West play, the Flames were only 3-9 and blown out by Miami (OH), Duke, Arizona, Seton Hall and Valpo. That history against quality teams and a lack of size make the outlook for a long run not very good.
PLAYER TO WATCH Gabe Martin | G/F | Senior
One of the Flames' top offensive threats, Martin puts his combination of strength and athleticism to good use in the lane. The Flames' leading scorer also stretches the defense with his ability to knock down the three. A terror on defense, his quickness allows him to step in passing lanes and pick up steals.
