Will lose when ...
The game gets a little frenetic. SMS came back in the MVC title game when it physically went after Panthers.
Famous Last Words
UNI is the kind of team that could give a higher seed fits but probably doesn't have enough to finish an upset.

TO THIS POINT Missouri Valley Conference champions How They Got Here: The Panthers pounced on the opportunity to dance as an unexpected guest, winning the MVC tournament after top-seeded SIU was upset in the semifinals. Still, UNI needed to beat the team who beat the Salukis, outlasting SMS in double overtime to earn the automatic bid. The Panthers set up their tourney run by beating SIU themselves in the regular-season finale -- one of eight straight wins they take in the NCAA Tournament.
PLAYER TO WATCH Ben Jacobson | G | Sophomore
Jacobson can play either guard or small forward, but in either role he's the Panthers' top option in most sets. Last year's on-the-job training as a freshman made Jacobson ready for the spotlight this season and he responded in the MVC tournament, where he scored 61 points in three nights, didn't miss a 3-pointer in the semis or final (7 for 7), and capped off a MVP performance with 26 points in the title game.
