BREES COMPLETES SUPER BOWL ON A ROLL
Drew Brees completed 18 of his last 19 passes, including his last 10 of the game. No other passer ever recorded an 18-for-19 stretch in a Super Bowl, and only three did so in any NFL playoff game since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970: Kurt Warner against the Packers last month (Wild Card game), Tom Brady against the Jaguars two seasons ago (Divisional Playoff game), and Terry Bradshaw against the Chargers in January 1983 (first-round game). Brees' 10 straight completions to end the game matched the second-longest completion streak in Super Bowl history. Joe Montana set the record with 13 in a row against the Broncos 20 years ago.
